BUSTED! JMo saw you leaving your kid and your pet in the car without the windows rolled down!! (Ok that was a fib. There was ONE window rolled down about three inches).
Last night at Chipotle I pulled into a spot next to a car. That car had a woman already standing outside the car and was walking away. UNTIL she saw me pull in and then went back to the car. I was all, “Um, okay Shady McShadyLadyPants.”
I noticed that in the back of the car was a huge dog and a girl. The girl was probably around 10 years old.
It was awkward because the dog was sitting closer to the window/door than the girl was. So the lady, after coming BACK to her car after I pulled in..wait a second, did I LOOK shady enough for her to want to take her small child out of the car? There is no way. It’s not like a drive a ghettomobile or something. I looked quite presentable. And even had my Dooney & Bourke bag with me. Ok anyway, after coming back to the car, from clearly walking away, the mom had the girl shimmy her way around Marmaduke there in the back. in order to the exit the car.
So now I’m behind these two in line and the mom keeps kissing the girl on the head. And I wanted to be like, “Bitch, I just SAW you leave her in the car. And honestly, I couldn’t care less if you keep your children and pets locked up in a car. Just don’t come in here and be all phony-assed and shit. Jeez.”
But I wasn’t like that. I just stood there and stared disapprovingly as if I DID care she was leaving them in the car. Yes, THEM. Poor Clifford was still back in the locked car alone.
Honestly, I feel like ten years old is old enough to be left in a car alone, don’t you think? Ok maybe not. Hence why I don’t have kids. I have no idea what to do with them. Nor do I want to. I’m still shocked that the kid ordered a burrito. My niece and nephew would NEVER eat a burrito. Damn those kids are picky eaters. Little jerks.
Anyway, she did take the food to go, so at least IF the kid and the dog were left in the car, they wouldn’t have had to wait for her to feed her piehole. I felt better about that.
Happy First Day of Fall, Y’all,
