“Now my name is M.C.A. I’ve got a license to kill
I think you know what time it is it’s time to get ill
Now what do we have here an outlaw and his beer
I run this land, you understand I make myself clear.”
It was 1986. I was in fifth grade and turned around to talk to Brian. He too had the Beastie Boy’s tape, License to Ill. I bought mine at Osco’s. We bonded.
For over a quarter of a century, the Beastie Boys have been prominent on the soundtrack of my life. I can’t believe that one of them is gone. Too early, too soon.
Rest in Peace Adam Youch. One day I WILL step foot inside of a White Castle.
Yesterday I received my new Twenty-Three magazine. For those of you who don’t know, that is the official Disney “fan club” or community magazine. It gets its name from the year (1923) that Walt started his company. Anyway, none other than Captain “I’m super hot and my hair is always perfect” America donned the cover of the magazine I received (there are different covers, you know). AND members always get a little surprise inside. This time was a patch of one of the Avengers. I hoped and wished I would get Thor…and I did! Hurrah!! I love me some Thor.
Confession: Never saw Iron Man or Captain America, but that didn’t stop me from going to see The Avengers. I won’t give anything away but it was AWESOME!!! Loved it. The Hulk steals the show (I think) and Chris Hemsworth is gorgeous. Second confession: I don’t usually like men with tight pants and long hair (well unless his name is Russell Brand) but Loki…even though he is the “bad guy” I would grab all that long greasy black hair and smash that kid HARD. Something about him is hot. Probably because he’s the bad boy. *sigh*
Favorite line of the movie: “He’s adopted.”
Ok, one last thing:
Needless to say, JMo fed the gulls. I’ m not afraid of the “dangerous bacteria” and whether or not my water is clean. Those gulls are hungry!
